Managing Workplace Interactions in Ontario

This practical course will help you

• explore workplace structures and workplace cultural concepts.
• work on teams, make and respond to requests, offer suggestions and recommendations, and negotiate and problem-solve with others.
• participate in team meetings.
• deal with challenging interactions.

This online course can be taken from anywhere in Ontario. It is typically six weeks (40 hours) and offers a combination of online group and individual activities. Group sessions are usually weekly for 1.5 hours, while the rest of the course hours are spent on individual online activities.

Minimum eligibility requirements considered by colleges include:

• you have training or experience in accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, sales and marketing, architectural technology, engineering technology or information technology.
• you have a valid language proficiency of at least level 6 in Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB).
• you have access to a computer with video and audio capabilities as well as an internet connection.
• you are a permanent resident, convention refugee/protected person or temporary resident affected by the crisis in Gaza (showing “MOME2023” in status documentation until March 31, 2027).
• you live in Ontario.

Some colleges may request additional information.

Note that three 40-hour online modules in one sector are equivalent to a blended OSLT Workplace Communication Skills for Business or Technology course.
